Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cowan’s Ford a Private, Semi-Private, or Public Club?
Yes, Cowan’s Ford is a Private, Non Profit Club.

Who owns the Club?
The Club is made up of Equity and Non Equity members.  Equity members however have ownership in the Club.

What is the difference between an Equity and a Non Equity member?
Both Equity and Non Equity members have the same privileges as far as the use of all Club amenities but there are a few differences in member “perks”.  For example, Equity members are eligible for a refund and can transfer their membership to a child or grand child.  Both members have voting privileges.

Does Cowan’s Ford have a Guest Policy?
We want our members to bring their friends to the club and show them our Great course and clubhouse but we do limit the number of times a guest may visit. Each member may bring as many different guests in a months time as they like but may bring the same guest only two times a month.  We are a non profit club and do not advertise so if you bring the same guest two times a month several months in a row we will want to contact them for membership.  After all, we want your friends to be members too.
